Landsberg Castle Meiningen
In 1836, His Highness Duke Bernhard II Erich Freund of Saxony-Meiningen bought the Landsberg estate and decided to build a castle on the hill where the ruins stood. No-one can picture a more attractive venue for choice dining or a Knights- Meal, whether in the richly decorated Knights- Hall or the rustic castle tavern. Clever designers have turned the castle-s rooms and tower chambers, elaborately decorated with wall and glass painting, into stylish and comfortable guest rooms and suites with four-poster beds.
