Krahnberg Recreation Area
The Krahnberg with a height of 429 metres and the Galberg with a height of 386 metres are situated to the north-west of Gotha. For some 100 years now, they have been a historic recreation area for nature-lovers and hikers and can look back on a chequered history. The two hills belong together and are popular with the people of Gotha, for both their natural attractions and their places of interest, such as the Bürgerturm (Citizens’ Tower), the Hill Garden, the Müller Temple, etc.
